I finished up the DVD cover and disc art for my friend’s short film last night. I included the first two drafts along with the disc art in the gallery as well.

Last week when I was visiting friends from college, my friend Derek expressed interest in making some custom designs in griptape for his new longboard. I offered to draw up a design in photoshop. His roommate has access to a waterjet machine, but we got too excited and decided to just cut it all out and finish it in one night. We ended up working on it until 5 a.m.
While I was in Boston visitng my brother and checking out colleges I heard that Obama would be on the campus of Northeastern (where my brother goes to school) supporting Martha Coakley for the senate seat. We know now that it didn’t help much.
I attended the 2nd Annual San Diego Martin Luther King Day of Service at Balboa Park on February 15th. MLK day happened to fall during the massive storm we had a month or so ago so it had to be rescheduled. There was still a large turnout even though it was rescheduled.

Today was my first time back in the desert in a long time. I shot photos for a few hours and then just hung out when the action started to die down. I met up with my friends Paul and Rich and took a ride in Rich’s racetruck (cell phone video below).
And finally, the video from the truck in picture 7:
Drove out to El Centro today to shoot my cousin’s bike race in the morning. It was my first time shooting a road bike race, I had no idea what to expect so I just picked a spot and started shooting. I have to say that I’m surprised with how well my photos turned out, although, only 9 out of the 148 that I shot were good. After the race I headed to the FUD 200 next door in Plaster City.
